According to Engelmore and Morgan [1], manuscript content should, in general, be organized in the following order: Title; Authors Name; Authors Affiliation; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions; Acknowledgments; and References.

Please include Covering Letter in a separated document file containing your summary of scientific finding and uploaded in Supplementary Files.

7.2. Figure, Tables and Equation

Tables and Figures

All figures and tables should be cited in the main text as Figure 1, Table 1, etc.

Tables are sequentially numbered with the table title and number above the table. Tables should be centered in the column OR on the page. Tables should be followed by a line space. Elements of a table should be single-spaced, however double spacing can be used to show groupings of data or to separate parts within the table. Tables are referred in the text by the table number. eg: Table 1. Do not show vertical line in the table. There is only horizontal line should be shown within the table.

Figures are sequentially numbered commencing at 1 with the figure title and number below the figure as shown in Figure 1. Detailed recommendations for figures are as follows:

Ensure that figures are clear and legible with typed letterings.

Black & white or colored figures are allowed.

Hard copy illustrations should, preferably, be scanned and included in the electronic version of the submission in an appropriate format. Like the following example

Equations

Equations should be numbered serially within parentheses as shown in Equation (1). Equation should be prepared using MS Equation Editor (not in image format). The equation number is to be placed at the extreme right side. Example:

 y = f (x1,x2,x3,....xn) …………………………………………………………………………………… (1)

lnyt=a0+a1lnxt+a2lnxt+a3lnxt+...+anlnxnt+et …………………… ………………….. (2)

Units, Abbreviations and Symbols

Metric units are preferred. Define abbreviations and symbols at the first time as they are introduced in the text.

Authors should discuss the results and how they can be interpreted in perspective of previous studies and of the working hypotheses. The findings and their implications should be discussed in the broadest context possible. Future research directions may also be highlighted. The discussion should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. Avoid extensive citations and discussion of published literature. It is encouraged to cite publications from Forest and Society

In discussion, it is the most important section of your article. Here you get the chance to sell your data. Make the discussion corresponding to the results, but do not reiterate the results. Often should begin with a brief summary of the main scientific findings (not experimental results). The following components should be covered in discussion: How do your results relate to the original question or objectives outlined in the Introduction section (what)? Do you provide interpretation scientifically for each of your results or findings presented (why)? Are your results consistent with what other investigators have reported (what else)? Or are there any differences?

7.3. Units, Abbreviations, and Symbols

Metric units are preferred. Define abbreviations and symbols for the first time as they are introduced in the text.

7.4. Manuscript Heading, Font, and Spacing

The manuscript should be typed using word processors (Microsoft Word or Open Office) software. The font used throughout the paper is Calibri (Body). The paper size is A4 (i.e., 210 x 297 mm), one-column format with a 2.5 cm margin at the top, a 1.9 cm margin at the bottom, 2.7 cm margin on the left, and 2.7 cm margin on the right. Page numbers should be included in the text located in the footer section of each page. Use of pronouns such as I, we etc is to be avoided.

Manuscript submitted to this journal should follow the heading below, except for the review article: Title; Authors Name; Authors Affiliation; Abstract; Keywords; Introductions; Methods; Results and Discussion; Conclusions; Acknowledgments; and  References.

7.5. Paper Title

This is your opportunity to attract the reader's attention. Remember that readers are the potential authors who will cite your article. Identify the main issue of the paper. Begin with the subject of the paper. The title should be accurate, unambiguous, specific, and complete. Do not contain infrequently-used abbreviations.

The title of the paper should be in 18 pt bold Calibri (Body)  and be allign text left. The title should have 0 pts space above and 24 pts below.

7.6. Authors Name and Affiliations

Write Author(s) names without title and professional positions such as Prof, Dr, Production Manager, etc. Do not abbreviate your last/family name. Always give your First and Last names. Write a clear affiliation of all Authors. Affiliation includes the name of department/unit, (faculty), the name of the university, address, country. Please indicate Corresponding Author (include email address) by adding an asterisk (*) in superscript behind the name.

Author names should be in 11 pt bold calibri (Body)  with 12 pts above and 12 pts below. Author addresses are superscripted by numerals and allign left over both columns of manuscripts. Author affiliations should be in 11 pt calibri (Body). The body of the text should commence 1 line (10 points) below the last address.

7.7. Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should be an objective representation of the article, it must not contain results which are not presented and substantiated in the main text and should not exaggerate the main conclusions. The abstract should be clear, concise, and descriptive. This abstract should provide a brief introduction to the problem, objective of paper, followed by a statement regarding the methodology and a brief summary of results. The abstract should end with a comment on the significance of the results or a brief conclusion. Abstracts are preferably not more than 300 words, or 300 words limitation is not restricted.

Keywords are the labels of your manuscript and critical to correct indexing and searching. Therefore the keywords should represent the content and highlight of your article. Use only those abbreviations that are firmly established in the field. e.g. DNA. Each word/phrase in keyword should be separated by a comma (,), not a semicolon (;).

7.8. Introduction (literature review and refers theory should be included in the Introduction)

The introduction part (recommended length: 500-1000 words) gives the reader and enticing glimpse of what is to come. It must grab the reader’s attention by stimulating attention, interest, desire and action. In other words, the introduction must effectively “sell” the manuscript.

The introduction generally consists of: a broad statement about theme or topic of the study; summary of available literatures and cites the most important studies that are relevant to the current research; statement about controversies, gaps, inconsistencies in the literature that the current study will address; statement about problems/questions to be addressed in the study or objectives of the study. You can also state at the end of introduction outline of the structure of the rest of the article.

Presents the theoretical core of an article. In this section, we will discuss the purpose of a literature review and present of research gap. We will also consider how one should go about to find appropriate literature on which to base a literature review and how this information should be managed. Finally, present your research motivation, research questions and the study purpose that previous researchers often being debated when compiling a literature review

7.9 Research Methods or Methodology

Research methods section describes materials used in research and steps followed in the execution of the study systematically, such as present of data describe it systematically (with sub-section headings), starting with the research data (making a table that presents symbols, descriptions, measurements, data sources (if secondary data) or if proxy data, ratios or dummy data must be mention source of article). After that, describe the research location and/or object, if the data type is primary data (please mention the sampling technique, how to determine it and the number of samples. A brief justification for the method used is also stated so the readers can evaluate the appropriateness of the method, reliability and validity of the results.

Presents analysis methods in subtitles, such as presenting a model in the form of a function with equation tools in Microsoft Word and each equation is numbered. Example:

2.1. Data

Present of data describe it systematically (with sub-section headings), starting with the research data (making a table that presents symbols, descriptions, measurements, data sources (if secondary data) or if proxy data, ratios or dummy data must be mention source of article). After that, describe the research location and/or object, if the data type is primary data (please mention the sampling technique, how to determine it and the number of samples.

2.2. Model (Subsection)

Presents analysis methods in subtitles, such as presenting a model in the form of a function with equation tools in Microsoft Word and each equation is numbered. Example:

 y = f (x1,x2,x3,....xn) …………………………………………………………………………………… (1)

lnyt=a0+a1lnxt+a2lnxt+a3lnxt+...+anlnxnt+et …… …………………….. (2)

Units, Abbreviations and Symbols

Metric units are preferred. Define abbreviations and symbols at the first time as they are introduced in the text.

7.10. Results and Discussion (Separation or combination of Results and Discussion section is accepted)

This section may be divided by subheadings. It should provide a concise and precise description of the experimental results, their interpretation as well as the experimental conclusions that can be drawn.

3.1. Descriptive statistic and correlation matrix

3.2. Subsection

3.1.1. Subsubsection

Bulleted lists look like this:

  • First bullet
  • Second bullet
  • Third bullet

Numbered lists can be added as follows:

  1. First item
  2. Second item
  3. Third item

Results should be clear and concise. The results should summarize (scientific) findings rather than providing data in great detail. Please highlight differences between your results or findings and the previous publications by other researchers.

7.11. Conclusions

Conclusions should answer the objectives of the research. Tells how your work advances the field from the present state of knowledge. Without clear Conclusions, reviewers and readers will find it difficult to judge the work, and whether or not it merits publication in the journal. Do not repeat the Abstract, or just list experimental results. Provide a clear scientific justification for your work, and indicate possible applications and extensions. You should also suggest future experiments and/or point out those that are underway.

7.12. Acknowledgment

Recognize those who helped in the research, especially funding supporter of your research. Include individuals who have assisted you in your study: Advisors, Financial supporters, or may another supporter i.e. Proofreaders, Typists, and Suppliers who may have given materials.

7.13. References

There are no strict requirements on reference formatting at submission, but we encouraging to use APA citation output. References can be in any style or format as long as the style is consistent. Where applicable, author(s) name(s), journal title/book title, chapter title/article title, year of publication, volume number/book chapter and the pagination must be present. This weblink https://bowvalleycollege.libguides.com/apa-style/article-nodoi, that explaining APA citation could be useful. Use of DOI is highly encouraged. The reference style used by the journal will be applied to the accepted article by Editor at the proof stage. Note that missing data will be highlighted at proof stage for the author to correct. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Use other published articles in the same journal as models. All publications cited in the text should be included as a list of references. References are listed alphabetically. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Remove this paragraph and start section numbering with 1. For any questions, please contact the editorial office of the journal, and see the example below

Recommendations for references are:

  • Include ALL authors. et al., for multiple authors is not acceptable.
  • When referencing in the body of text, use 11pt calibri in the bracket (Prahmana, 2014).

When preparing your reference list, the following should be avoided:

  • References not cited in the text.
  • Excessively referencing your own work.
  • Insufficiently referencing the work of others.
